A TIP TO HELP CONSERVE THOSE GORGEOUS SPRING/SUMMER EVENT CAKES

Did you know that you can strengthen the icing on your warm weather cakes just by folding in a bit of Whipped Cream into your butter cream icing?   It's true and you cake designer will do it for you!  Inventive professionals will find a way to create similar "durability" even for vegan cakes.

No frosted or finished cake can stand up to high outdoor temperatures indefinitely and should preferably be kept super-cold until just before serving time if it has to be cut and plated outside.  Try to shield it from direct sunlight with awnings, tents or canopies and give a great deal of thought to the finish for your outdoor cake (Icing/Fondant/Edible decorations).  Thinking and planning ahead can help keep your cake picture-perfect!

From collecting donor samples in her living room, to having her partner (a NYC police officer) inject her with fertility drugs, to her day-to-day job as a 4th grade theatre teacher in a Brooklyn private school, this primal rush to beat the biological clock is not your ordinary view of conception.
