Meet our 2008 Couple of the Year! Brian & Ron
|
Venue: The Landmark Loew's Jersey Theater, Jersey City, NJ
The Start of any Event! The gorgeous
Loew's Jersey is not equipped with
any sort of kitchen but we created
one for this event.
The End Result (Main Floor). The event flow was natural and
fluid throughout the space with 7 foot palms, a piano and
furniture that were all especially rented for the event.
The happy Grooms, Brian and Ron during the
reception.
The grooms were pleased that we spent 8 weeks locating
and coordinating Four Japanese, Sushi-Hour Geishas for the
event! It was close, but they said they wanted Geishas and
Geishas they had!
Custom Cake designed featuring various architectural
elements of the Loew's Jersey theater and included edible 24-
karat gold throughout and matching edible orchids which
echoed the grooms' exquisite orchid boutonnières.
We were able to have it personally presented by NYC's
CAKEDIVA™ (as seen on Food Network, MTV, WE, Bravo and others)
to the delight and surprise of the guests.
During the cocktail hour, the Grooms share perfectly chilled
Ossetra caviar on toast points.

Coordinator, Marcinho; Event Assistant, Matthew; Event
Coordinator, Mary; Event Design Coordinator, Anthony.
Not only was there a DJ, singers, a Pianist and Geishas...
We brought in casino tables with "ceremoney" for all the
guests to feel a part of the entire event!
One of the promenade balconies. In honoring the use of
the venue the grooms desired, their planner came up with
the theme "Gatsby's Geishas"... an homage to the period,
the grooms' vision for a Gatsby-esque event and their
appreciation of Japanese culture.
To create the mystical drama and intrigue of the Geishas'
appearance, a Master Japanese Taiko Drummer played the
historical Taiko drum to herald the Geisha Introduction.
This is how we launched the sushi hour of the reception!

There are so many things that go into the nomination of a
savvyplanners.com Couple of the Year! In the case of Brian and Ron,
it was all about their incredible love for each other.
To have seen the tremendous variety of family and friends in
attendance at this gorgeous event, it was clear that Brian and Ron
were well-loved and cherished!
There's a time when you look into a client's eyes at their event and
they're a bit emotional and a bit at a loss for words... According to
their Coordinator, it was completely undeniable that this was the
wedding that they had dreamed of. Their wedding planner made sure
of it.
We're honored to welcome this terrific couple to the family of
Couples of the Year!!!
